Mediatek with this chip need to new 12 inches tablet how be faster and cheaper, for example this specs:
1.Display.- 12"inches FHD - iPS led-backlight
2.Memory.- 3 GB RAM
3.Chipset.- MediaTek MT6595
4.Camera.- 2 MP front & back
With this Chip need to do new 14 inches QHD tablet with this specs:
1.Display.- 14"inches QHD - IGZO
2.Memory.- 3 GB RAM
3.Chipset.- MediaTek MT6595
AnonD-215925, 15 Apr 2014+1 Bullshit SoC coming soon, it can`t ever break Exynos`s and Snap800 record, OurCompetitor shit :Dsame time the affordability is matters
If this arrives at the right time, it could blow the competition out of the water.

The competition would have the same it has today: binary blobs.
Realy very powerful chipset. hope it will break the Exynos's Antutu record...
I like Snapdragon 800 but MT6595 sounds like a strong competitor with PowerVR graphics plus competition is beneficial to consumers.

It's framework which is very complicated because of dual SIM funcionality. There is no way MediaTek will open up that because of competition.

nice.i will buy one.
If only Mediatek would give kernel sources of its chipsets ala freakin' everyone else.. These people make some truly capable SoCs but for God knows what reason they refuse to support that which is most essential to the Android community : AOSP development.
AnonD-235859, 14 Apr 2014As the article says that it will support TD-LTE .Can some one clarify this cheap set will supp... moreAFAIK is, it clearly states it supports TD-LTE. The frequency is a matter of having the proper transceivers, which is something that depends on the board/phone model more than anything.
As the article says that it will support TD-LTE .Can some one clarify this cheap set will support TD-LTE of 2300 Mhz of frequency in Band 40. That's what is deployed in India. So i want to know that will it be compatible with the LTE of India ?
Meh, I realy don't hink there's a future for this kind of 2-quad octacores; make a proper quadcore chip like Qualcomm does or go home.
You get so much bang for your buck with MediaTek. Samsung and Qualcomm will have to straighten up their act, or soon there will be a new SoC-king.
Anonymous, 14 Apr 2014i will buy oneI won't and advise anyone considering Mediatek to just avoid it at all costs.
Their policies regarding the Linux kernel are laughable, completely illegal and on top of that dangerous to anyone with a Mediatek device. It is known that some of their SoCs are stuck with flawed kernels which have very well known security breaches (which are not fixed, because Mediatek thinks it owns Linux).
Avoid!
They should work on driver, every devices that have Mediatek SoC inside stuck on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
like the one on Coolpad 8720L?
I tought mt6595 chip is a true octacore @ 2.5ghz?? But at least we`ll get to see how a17 performs...
