Just put bigger batteries into the phone and call it a day, we won't have to worry so much about the chip being power efficient and just about it being more powerful and advanced.

people learn from mistakes but htc ............!!!
Still no HTC U11 and u people are announcing this ocean thing.........I will wait
Did HTC founder sign a contract with anyone not to use batteries bigger than 2***mah range?

The 821 is a better soc in every way to be honest. Superior DSP, memory controllers and RAM support. Better imaging performance as well.
The only thing the SD 660 is better at that it has 4 more cores.
I don't know why htc always always always put tiny little batteries in their smartphones.....!!! i am too much frustrated with htc, a company once i loved more than anything. Come on we need more stamina. If they sell this with 4000 mah atleast 3500, this would be the best seller.

After mulling over the so-called mini S8, I definitely would to give HTC credit for this hopeful product. I'm glad that it won't have a Snapdragon 821... especially, when the 660 is probably more power efficient, while still providing comparable CPU and GPU performance. I would like to see more units with the 660 system be released in my territory.
HTC U ocean, nice spec, waiting for sony this september, it will be a good comparison
I hope that they price it right. Whatever the price may be, this is still a way better choice than most OPPO and vivo phones.
Nice phone with a too small battery, as HTC feels compelled to do, for some unknown reason, unfortunately.
Force Majeure, 04 Jul 2017Let me guess, the battery is crap. Way under 3000 and not removable.Go back to your crappy noname-chinesse phone with 4000mAh(on paper) removable battery
Lets see if this U11 (mini) will live up to its bigger brother:
Pros:
-Tad smaller (more one hand friendly)
-Almost flagship SoC (or more than adequate to say the least)
-Same beautufull design&colors
-superb audio+USonic+Edge sense
Cons:
-no stereo spekers
-no waterproofing
-no focus audio(for video recording)
-midrange camera with only 1μm pixel+no dual pixel focus+not good low light performance
So after all said its up to HTC to price this Ocean Life accordingly if they want people in search of (smaller) phone to buy it,as it has a lot going for it,but also quite a few "important" ommisions.I guess price will be deciding factor for its success...
Anonymous, 04 Jul 2017Moto X4 same spec except 3800mAh battery.Newer leaks hint at a SD630 and 3000 mAh.
Hmm, a very good mid-ranger with the U11s Edge sense and U sonic sound. The 660 is a powerful chip-set thanks to its Kryo cores and improved GPU on a very efficient built on a 14nm process.
Moto X4 same spec except 3800mAh battery.
Pricing will be the key to success, if priced below oneplus 5...it will be a success
Let me guess, the battery is crap. Way under 3000 and not removable.
